Serving the Spokane community since 1975, we provide comprehensive eye care including eye exams, prescriptions, diagnoses, referrals, and quality eyewear. Led by optometrist Dr. Shurtz, our team is dedicated to improving your vision and overall eye health. From our welcoming front desk staff to our experienced opticians, we take pride in building lasting relationships with our patients and look forward to caring for you and your family.
About Dr. Shurtz
Continuing a Legacy of Exceptional Eye Care in North Spokane
For nearly five decades, North Spokane Eye Care has been a trusted name in eye health, proudly serving the community since 1975. In 2024, Dr. David Shurtz took ownership of the practice, continuing its tradition of compassionate, patient-centered care.
Dr. Shurtz earned his undergraduate degree in Environmental Science from Brigham Young University and received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston in 2017. After practicing for several years in southern Arizona, he and his wife moved to Spokane her hometown to begin the next chapter of private practice ownership.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Shurtz enjoys hiking, playing ultimate frisbee, and exploring the Inland Northwest throughout all four seasons. He is committed to helping every patient achieve clear, comfortable vision and long-term eye health.
